Evaluation:

Sam Thompson is a smooth and agile small forward. He has long arms and is an extremely good leaper as well. He is a good ball handler and passer who does a good job of setting up his teammates. Defensively he is a very good shot blocker for a wing player who uses his long arms and good timing to reject opposing shots. Thompson needs to get stronger and improve the consistency of his outside shot in order to bring his game to the next level.
